AI assistants
Book a real pro from ChatGPT or Claude.
Real shops, their technicians' real open times, a confirmation text from the shop.
The Orvius connector lets an AI assistant find a local heating and cooling, plumbing or electrical shop, read when a technician is actually free and book the visit. No sign-in.
Add it
Server URL (Streamable HTTP, no authentication):
https://orvius.im/api/mcp
- Claude: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector, then paste the URL.
- ChatGPT: Settings, Apps, turn on developer mode, Create, then paste the URL with no authentication.
- Any other MCP client: add it as a remote server with that URL.
What it can do
- Find pros near a ZIP (
find_pros, reads only): Licensed local shops of one trade that serve a ZIP code and answer their phone through Orvius. Returns each shop's id, phone, reviews and, when it books online, its services. - Open times for a shop (
get_open_times, reads only): Times a technician who does this service is actually free at this shop over the next week, read from the shop's live schedule. Each time has an exact `at` value to pass to book_visit. - Book the visit (
book_visit, makes a booking or request): Books the visit at a time from get_open_times, after the person agreed to it. Sends them a confirmation text from the shop. Calling again with the same details returns the same booking instead of a second one. - Ask for a pro where none is listed (
request_a_pro, makes a booking or request): When find_pros returns no shop, saves the request so the first Orvius shop of that trade near the ZIP can call the person back. Nothing is promised about timing.
Try asking
- “My furnace stopped working. Find me a heating pro near 80202 and book the earliest time tomorrow.”
- “Is there a plumber near 78704 who can come look at a leaking water heater this week?”
- “Book an electrician near 85004 to add an outlet in my garage. I'm free Thursday afternoon.”
- “Show me the sample HVAC shop at ZIP 00000 and book a tune-up so I can see how it works.”
Testing with sample shops
ZIP 00000 returns one sample shop per trade, with open times over the next three weekdays. Every check runs as it would for a real shop, but nothing is booked, stored or texted, and no real shop or phone is involved.
What a booking does
- The assistant only books a time the shop listed, after the person agreed to the shop, the service and the time.
- The time is re-checked against the shop's calendar as it is booked, so two people never get the same technician.
- The person gets a confirmation text from the shop, and the shop sees the visit marked "AI assistant".
- Asking twice with the same details returns the same booking, never a second visit.
- Emergencies are never booked online: the assistant is told to have the person call 911 if anyone is in danger, then call the shop.
Privacy
Searching sends only a trade and ZIP code. Booking sends the person's name, mobile number, service address and what's wrong, and they go only to the shop they chose, to schedule and confirm the visit. Orvius never sells it. See the Privacy Policy, section 13.
If something goes wrong
- No shop came back. Orvius only lists shops that are live on Orvius in that area. The assistant can save a request so the first shop nearby calls back.
- The time was taken. Another customer booked it first. Ask for the open times again and pick a new one.
- The booking was refused as urgent. Gas smells, sparking, burning smells and flooding are never booked online. Call 911 if anyone is in danger, then the shop's number.
- Too many bookings. Each connection, phone number and shop has a limit per hour or day. Call the shop's number from the results.

For shops
A shop on Orvius with its booking page on is bookable by assistants automatically, using the same hours, technicians and rules as its own page. See pricing.
